Research Into “Little Things” Leads to Big Experience for Local High School Student
Imagine being a 17-year-old high school student, and in your first semester of a geology research internship, your professor asks you to identify an extinct 300-million-year-old, tiny and unknown crustacean specimen. Megan Schinker, then an ambitious Stow-Munroe Falls High School junior, jumped right in. Now a senior in high school, Ms. Schinker, chose 91ֿ as her undergraduate school where she will pursue a double major in geology and chemistry starting fall 2019.
Students Encouraged to De-Stress With University Libraries During Finals Week
Everyone’s favorite event is back. 91ֿ Libraries will host its seventh annual Stress-Free Zone on Monday, May 6, and Tuesday, May 7. The event is open to students, staff and faculty from 3-5 p.m. in the Garden Room on the first floor of University Library.

91ֿ’s Mock Trial Team recently competed in the Regional Mock Trial Association Competition held at the Franklin County Common Pleas Courthouse in Columbus. 91ֿ’s team is made up of students from the Kent Campus, including sophomores, juniors and seniors, who are majoring in a variety of programs such as marketing, paralegal studies, criminology and justice.

But at 91ֿ, these popular game titles are the new electronic landscape for a varsity sports program that launched in fall 2018 at 91ֿ.

The garden was selected for the award for understanding the needs of the community and making a positive impact on 91ֿ, Walls Elementary School, where the garden is located, and the city of Kent.
