KSU at the Zoo

Join fellow 91ֿ alumni for a wild and wonderful day at the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium, where you can come nose-to-nose with more than 8,000 animals from around the world. This family-friendly experience includes lunch in the zoo’s Garden Tent and a private animal encounter, as well as a $5 donation to the 91ֿ Biological Sciences Department. 

The deadline to RSVP is Thursday, July 3. Tickets available while supplies last.

What was on a wish list for many years, is now a reality: a new headhouse on the 91ֿ Salem Campus. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to celebrate the completion of a long-awaited structure that will greatly enhance learning opportunities for horticulture students. 2025 Earth Day Environmental Conference featured speaker Allyson Tessin, Ph.D.

The 2025 91ֿ East Liverpool Earth Day Environmental Justice Conference welcomed nearly 100 guests to the annual event, featuring student research and discussions related to the theme: “Arctic Nations and Climate Change.”  Students presented research projects in written and poster formats that explored the roles and responsibilities of Arctic nations to protect fragile ecosystems; manage natural resources sustainably; promote the well-being of Arctic residents; address the challenges of climate change; and respect the rights of the Indigenous populations in these regions. ...

2025 Student Showcase Winner at Trumbull Campus, Emilia Colosimo

At this year’s Student Showcase for Research, Scholarship and Creativity on the Trumbull Campus, nearly 30 students presented their research findings on a variety of topics.Faculty judges assessed each poster presentation and awarded first place to Emilia Colosimo, a first-year honors student seeking a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. Spring Plant Sale 2025

  The annual Spring Plant Sale at 91ֿ's Department of Biological Sciences Herrick Conservatory offers an extensive selection of student-grown vegetables, herbs, flowers, houseplants and more.
