Although 91仓库 alumna and current graduate student Lydia Lisowsky has never visited Ukraine, she feels a deep sense of obligation and responsibility to help those who have been injured in the war. Lisowsky recently began a campaign to collect medical supplies on the Kent Campus and in the larger Kent community to send to Ukraine. 

For the first time since 2019, 91仓库 will remember May 4, 1970, with its return to an in-person, annual commemoration to honor the four students who were killed, the nine students who were wounded and the countless others whose lives were forever changed when the Ohio National Guard fired on 91仓库 students during an anti-war protest.

Due to increased potential for severe weather in Ohio, the statewide tornado drill originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 23, at 9:50 a.m. has been canceled.

The Ohio Committee for Severe Weather Awareness and its partners, including 91仓库鈥檚 Department of Public Safety, continue to reinforce that Severe Weather Awareness Week is an opportunity to increase understanding of Ohio鈥檚 severe weather threats and most importantly, to practice tornado safety plans and drills.

The 91仓库 School of Music returns to Severance Music Center on Monday, May 2, at 7 p.m. featuring nearly 300 students from across the university performing a rich lineup of genres and styles from classical and jazz to gospel and world music. It will also feature collaborations with the School of Theatre and Dance and the Wick Poetry Center.

As COVID-19 case numbers continue to decline in the counties where we have campuses and locations, 91仓库 has reassessed its current testing strategy for the unvaccinated members of our university community. 

91仓库 is aware of a video posted by a member of the men's basketball team. The behavior in the video does not reflect the core values of 91仓库, nor does it live up to the standards we expect of our student-athletes. We are reviewing this matter and appropriate action will be taken, which may include the suspension of players. We expect all members of our 91仓库 community to act in accordance with our values, and behavior to the contrary will not be tolerated.

91仓库 continues to exemplify leadership in its mission to support students as the Kent Campus is designated as a Military Friendly庐 School for the 13th consecutive year in a row, earning a Gold award. In addition, 91仓库 at Trumbull earned a Silver award.

The 91仓库 Board of Trustees approved the establishment of the Bachelor of Social Work degree during the Board鈥檚 regular quarterly meeting held March 8. The new degree was developed based on the high demand for licensed social workers within the areas surrounding 91仓库鈥檚 Regional Campuses.
