91ֿ’s Brain Health Research Institute Celebrates ‘Collaboratories’ Grand Opening

91ֿ’s Brain Health Research Institute celebrated the grand opening of its new lab spaces on Friday, Nov. 5, with an afternoon of activities that included a keynote presentation, space dedication, tours and student research demonstrations. The new space, featuring interdisciplinary research facilities, is located on the lower level of the Integrated Sciences Building on the Kent Campus.

91ֿ’s Giving Tuesday Launches Monthlong Initiative Featuring Numerous Incentives for Supporters

91ֿ, which has gained national recognition for its creative and successful Giving Tuesday campaigns, launched its monthlong celebration of philanthropy on Nov. 1. Giving Tuesday, now in its eighth year at 91ֿ, has raised nearly $7 million during that time, which illuminates the impact that can be made when Golden Flashes come together.

91ֿ Announces Largest Single Gift in History From Ambassador Edward F. Crawford to ​Name the College and Construct New College of Business ​Building

The largest single gift in 91ֿ history, by Ambassador Edward F. Crawford, will complete the capital campaign to enable the construction of a new College of Business Administration building on the university’s Kent Campus.

2021 Distinguished Teaching Award Recipients Announced

The 2021 Distinguished Teaching Award (DTA) recipients are an outstanding group of teachers who are truly dedicated to their students' success. Sponsored by the 91ֿ Alumni Association, the DTA is a highly prestigious honor in teaching. The award is presented annually to three full-time faculty members who demonstrate extraordinary teaching, whether it be in the classroom or online.

During a special halftime announcement at the Homecoming football game, campaign co-chairs Sandra C. and Lawrence R. Armstrong joined 91ֿ President Todd Diacon to publicly unveil Forever Brighter to thousands of alumni, donors and friends.
