The Fieldwork Experience

Purpose

The purpose of the fieldwork experience is to provide occupational therapy students with the opportunity to integrate academic knowledge with application skills at progressively higher levels of performance and responsibility. The unique contributions of fieldwork experience include the opportunity to test first-hand the theories and facts learned in academic study and to refine skills through client interaction under the supervision of qualified personnel.

91²Ö¿â’s combined bachelor’s/master’s degree program allows students to count nine credits of graduate level courses to their undergraduate degrees, providing a faster path to an advanced degree. The new Leadership Certificate Program at 91²Ö¿â focuses on enhancing students’ intrapersonal, interpersonal, and socially just leadership skills.  The program is a culminated experience of what the Pepsi Leadership Center offers. DI Application Process

91²Ö¿â Preadmission (For Current 91²Ö¿â Students Only)

Beginning in the Fall 2025 semester, the 91²Ö¿â Combined MS/DI Program will accept applications for preadmission from current 91²Ö¿â students only. Applicants for preadmission must submit a Personal Statement, Resume and one Letter of Recommendation from a work or volunteer site. All preadmission application materials must be submitted directly to the Dietetic Internship Director, Emily Baker, at ebaker9@kent.edu.
