The ADED Program's Mission

The Adolescent and Young Adult Education Program (ADED) values a broad range of perspectives and experiences.  It is an education grounded in fairness, justice, and integrity that sustains an environment conducive to the success of all.  Reflecting the mission of our college and school, the Adolescent and Young Adult Education Program (ADED) is dedicated to promoting social justice and honoring multiple ways of thinking, learning, and living.

Discrimination due to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, ancestry, disability, genetic information, age, military status, or identity as a disabled veteran or veteran of the Vietnam era, recently separated veteran, or other protected veterans is therefore unacceptable and may be subject to disciplinary action.

The Undergraduate program in ADED (B.S.E. degree) is fully accredited to provide teacher licensure in eight major academic areas: Earth Science, Integrated Language Arts, Integrated Mathematics, Integrated Science, Integrated Social Studies, Life Sciences, Life Science/Chemistry, and Physical Science.
