Leanpath
Leanpath is a food waste tracking system that helps dining programs measure, monitor, and reduce pre- and post-consumer food waste. It uses scales and digital logging tools to track exactly what types and amounts of food are being discarded.
Data-Driven Decisions
On KSU’s campus, dining teams use Leanpath data to identify patterns—such as overproduction or unpopular menu items—and make adjustments in purchasing, preparation, and portioning. By doing so, the program not only reduces waste and saves money but also promotes sustainability, aligning with student and institutional goals for environmental responsibility. You can find the boards tracking waste in DI & Eastway Dining Halls.
