Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, so what better way to celebrate the day dedicated to love than celebrating something we all have in common - 91ֿ. 91ֿ’s University Communications and Marketing department asked their student employees to list the 21 things they love about 91ֿ.
1. Black squirrels
Black squirrels are a symbol of 91ֿ, and you can see them everywhere around campus!
2. Our colors -- blue and gold
We love to show our 91ֿ pride by wearing blue and gold!
3. Amazing professors
91ֿ’s instructors truly care about each and every student.
4. The tallest building in Portage County
The 91ֿ Library is the tallest building in Portage County and it makes for the perfect study spot.
5. Having a Starbucks on every corner
Whenever you need a caffeine fix, 91ֿ has you covered!
6. Flash’s dance moves
Flash brings school spirit everywhere he goes!
7. Late night Rosie’s runs
Rosie’s is always open late so it’s perfect for a midnight snack!
8. Walks downtown
Downtown Kent is just steps away from campus and has great restaurants, coffee shops and stores.
9. All-you-can-eat at Eastway, the Hub, and DI Hub
With so many amazing choices, there is always something for everyone!
10. Homecoming Celebration
A big day when students come together to show off their 91ֿ pride!
11. Beverly J. Warren Student Recreation and Wellness Center
Whether you are looking for a zumba class, want to rock climb, or play intramural sports, the Rec has it all.
12. Deer, gophers, chipmunks and squirrels running around campus
91ֿ has plenty of green space, which brings a lot of cute wildlife along with it!

There is always a fun event going on around campus with great prizes.

Risman Plaza/the “K” is the center of campus and the location for fun events like Black Squirrel Fest and BlastOff!
