Career management is a shared and ongoing process through which employees reflect on their strengths, interests, and aspirations while aligning their development with organizational needs and opportunities. This course is designed to build clarity, confidence, and conversation readiness — not to guarantee advancement, but to equip participants to engage thoughtfully in the career development process within the organization’s current structure and opportunities.

Honoring and remembering the events of May 4, 1970, and educating others about the tragic day at 91ֿ remain an ongoing commitment by the university. On that day, the Ohio National Guard opened fire on 91ֿ students during an anti-war protest on campus, killing four students and wounding nine others. This year’s May 4 Commemoration, to be held May 1-4, 2026, will include special remembrances of John Cleary, one of the nine wounded students, who died Oct. 25, 2025, and Jerry M.

Recipients of the Glenn Frank Distinguished Teaching Award (GFDTA) are unforgettable teachers who challenge their students and motivate them to achieve their greatest ambitions. Since 1967, the GFDTA has been honoring 91ֿ’s most extraordinary professors. Sponsored by the 91ֿ Alumni Association, the GFDTA is the university’s most prestigious honor in teaching. The award is presented annually to four part- or full-time faculty members who demonstrate extraordinary teaching in the classroom and devotion to touching the lives of students.

Dr. Kathy Siesel Dr. Siesel started her journey with KSUCPM as a 1989 graduate of the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine (OCPM). Subsequent residency and fellowship programs with OCPM and the Cleveland Foot & Ankle Clinic (CFAC) lead her to the start of her career as a part-time clinical faculty member in 1991.
