A campus groundhog is building his winter burrow near Engleman Hall.

Near the building site of Crawford Hall, which will be the new home of the Ambassador Crawford College of Business and Entrepreneurship, a furry campus resident is busily digging his winter burrow.  Groundhogs hibernate over winter, so once this burrow is finished, this groundhog will enter a dormant state in late fall and not emerge until late winter or early spring - probably weeks after "Groundhog Day." ...

91²Ö¿â student Maya McDaniel began her collegiate journey at age 14. Now a 17-year-old senior, she is set to graduate with a degree in game design and a minor in computer science and also set to become one of the youngest students to receive a bachelor’s degree from the university. 91²Ö¿â College of Nursing student Ashlee Frymier has been selected as Big Sister of the Year by Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Summit, Medina and Stark Counties.  The award is particularly exceptional because Frymier has only volunteered with the organization for a year. Morgan Dawson launched Dawson Workwear construction pants in July 2022.

After 91²Ö¿â alumna Morgan Dawson, BS ‘20, started her career in the construction field, she realized that women in the industry did not have the appropriate clothing for the job.  If Dawson wore jeans, they were too tight. If she wore boy's construction pants, they didn’t fit her body. Something had to be done. Dawson took it upon herself to create Dawson Workwear, a line of pants made specifically for women in construction. 2022 Rainbow Run 5K

“Best Rainbow Attire,â€� “Best Rainbow Petâ€� and best personal records were all tracked at this year’s 7th Annual Rainbow Run at Risman Plaza (and online) on Oct. 7. The Rainbow Run, a 5K hosted by the 91²Ö¿â LGBTQ+ Center, raises money for the LGBTQ Emergency fund, a service that assists LGBTQ+ students in financial crises. Though there was the obstacle of rain, the run garnered more than $5,000 towards the fund this year with around 200 attendees.
