The Animation Game Design Program and the Animation and Game Design Club is hosting a site for the 2026 Global Game Jam site at 91ֿ's Design Innovation Hub. Global Game Jam is a worldwide, annual event that takes place over the course of one weekend. Participants, “Jammers,” will form teams and will be given a prompt. Jammers will use this prompt for designing and building their own game: 2D, 3D, digital, tabletop, alternative controller, even combos of all of the above!

For Karla Gutierrez Cuevas, Ph.D. ’17, the start of her 91ֿ journey brought a mix of excitement and uncertainty. “When I got accepted, I was pregnant,” Karla recalled. “In Mexico, there’s the perception that being a mother and pursuing a demanding academic career don’t go hand in hand.
