David Doane, Ph.D. '76, Whitehouse, OH, recently published "A Psychotherapist's View of Reality." The book, which is available on Amazon and Kindle, draws on insights from philosophy, psychology, spirituality and Doane's many years of practice as a psychotherapist in sharing his views and reflections on life issues. In it, Doane posits that our views warrant being taken seriously since we see the world and live our lives based on our views. He recommends "A Psychotherapist's View of Reality" for those who are in a contemplative time or simply enjoy a thoughtful read.

Norma West, '82, Saint Louis, MO, recently retired after a long career in the theatre. After 12 years as a costumer and crafts artisan/dyer in theatres across the country, West became the third female member of IATSE Local No. 6 Stagehands Union, founded 1893, and the first female officer a year later. She served as the secretary/treasurer of Local 6 for 21 years, then the first female member of the executive board for three years.
