Amer Hatamleh
Biography
Amer Hatamleh is a PhD candidate in Translation Studies at 91²Ö¿â. His academic interests include translation studies, corpus-based research, translation technology, generative artificial intelligence, syntactic priming, and translator education. His current research examines Arabic–English translation, with particular attention to the cognitive and linguistic processes involved in translation and the growing role of AI-assisted language technologies. He has also conducted research on translation and interpreting labor markets, professional competence, and the use of computer-assisted translation (CAT) tools in translator training. His work combines experimental, corpus-based, and quantitative approaches to investigate issues relevant to both translation theory and professional practice. In addition to his research, he is interested in language teaching and the pedagogical integration of technology in translation and foreign-language classrooms. His broader academic goal is to contribute to research connecting translation cognition, technology, pedagogy, and the evolving professional translation industry.
