Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine has appointed Rick D. Sonkin of Pepper Pike, Ohio, to the 91²Ö¿â Board of Trustees. Sonkin will serve through May 16, 2032. 

Trustee Sonkin serves as Managing Partner at Sonkin & Koberna, LLC and has continued to represent a diverse group of clients in all aspects of business and real estate law. He represents both closely held organizations and large national corporations. Because many of his clients are closely held businesses, he has experience providing business owners with succession planning advice and general counsel services.

Trustee Sonkin started his career as an associate in the Cleveland office of the national law firm Baker & Hostetler, LLP, where he concentrated his practice in corporate law, real estate, and litigation. He practiced at Baker & Hostetler until 1990, representing clients in complex business transactions. He also has significant experience in the representation of franchised automobile dealerships and currently represents numerous automobile dealerships in Ohio and nationally.

He earned his B.S. in Business Administration degree in 1984 and J.D. degree in 1987 from The Ohio State University.
