Heather Tulino

“Making a difference, one blessing at a time,†is the mission of Adam’s Angels, a non-profit organization founded in 2020 by Heather Tulino, recipient of the 2025 Ashtabula Area College Committee, Inc. Community Service Award.

The award was announced at the 91²Ö¿â at Ashtabula’s 80th commencement ceremony on Thursday, May 8, 2025.

The Community Service Award is given by the Ashtabula Area College Committee, Inc. (AACCI) in recognition of the contribution and leadership the recipient has made in support of education in Ashtabula County.

Adam’s Angels provides goods and items to area homeless as well as comfort bags for children entering foster care. Since its inception, the organization has donated over $100,000 back into the community, distributed over 2,500 blessing bags and expanded beyond Ashtabula into Lake and Stark Counties.

Yearly projects for Adam’s Angels include Operation Krayons for Kids, Blessing Bags for the homeless, Comfort Bags for Kids, hygiene kits to New Beginnings and Turning Point, dispenser refills to LARC and New Beginnings, household care packages to families enrolled in Start, food drives for Feed our Vets Ashtabula, hygiene items for Homesafe and more. Additionally, Adam’s Angels raised nearly $6,000 through its #LAKESIDESTRONG raffle to purchase school supplies for students and teachers following the devastating roof collapse at Lakeside High School in November.

Adam’s Angels originally began in the winter of 2019 following the passing of her son the previous September as a way to honor his memory and support those facing similar challenges and struggles. The organization was certified as a 501c3 nonprofit in 2021.

Additionally, Tulino and her family established the Adam Liuzzo Memorial Scholarship which annually presents a scholarship toward attending a college, university, trade or vocational school for a graduating senior from each high school in Ashtabula County.

Tulino and Adam’s Angels were recognized in 2024 by the Ashtabula County Children Services Board with an Above & Beyond Award and certificate of recognition and achievement from the U.S. Congress, the Ohio House of Representatives and the Ashtabula County Commissioners.
