2015 Ohio Science Olympiad Workshop

91�ֿ� Ashtabula will be hosting their 4^th annual Ohio Science Olympiad workshop for middle and high school students to practice for their events. With our instructors and professors, participants study science topics relating to events in which they will compete at the regional, state and national level. This year’s event also includes a keynote speaker, Dr. Tara C. Smith, from the College of Public Health at 91�ֿ�. Her speech, titled “Ebola and Emerging Diseases: Why we’ll always have pandemics,” will begin at 11:00 AM. The event begins at 9:00 AM and ends at 1:50 PM. Flashes Give Back Week Brings Service Project to 91�ֿ� Ashtabula

91�ֿ� alumni, students, faculty and staff are invited to give back to the Ashtabula community during Flashes Give Back Week, April 13–18.

On Friday, April 17, volunteers at 91�ֿ� Ashtabula will help build raised garden boxes for a new residential gardening program at Homesafe on campus (3300 Lake Road West, Ashtabula). Projects may include cutting, nailing, sanding and painting.
